A lovely set of candlesticks hand painted and made in Occupied Japan by Chase. Made around the 1940's early 50's. These candlesticks depict a colonial couple sitting on benches against a tree. The woman is done in a lovely pink and white dress with gold accents. The man is wearing blue, white and pink, also with gold accents. The woman also has a basket of flowers on the ground next to her. The set is simply wonderful and in excellent condition, gold trim still intact and both are signed on their bottoms. Their colors are still as bright as when they were made. We do believe that they can also be made into small lamps if one decided to do so. Like all our items these come from our own family collection. Would make an elegant statement in any china closet, cabinet, side table or for any Made in Occupied Japan collector. They measure 10 inches tall and around 4 1/4 wide.
